Carl was instrumental to the development of the Homer Watson House & Gallery. His involvement with the site began during the 1960’s when Bess Hamilton, owner at the time, would ask him “to watch over” the house while she was away, and he continue that duty throughout his lifetime.

It’s time to celebrate! On Thursday, January 14, Homer Watson, our namesake and celebrated landscape artist turns 161 years old! On this day, we will be honouring Watson and celebrating his tremendous accomplishments and contribution to our history. Join us at Noon for a FREE lunchtime lecture, tours of the museum, prizes and of course birthday cake! Staff will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have about Watson, his artwork, the museum or our programs. Admission for this event is FREE. Call ahead to reserve your seat as space is limited!
