Homer Watson Gallery in early 1930's
During the last few years, Homer Watson House&Gallery expanded its collection due to the generosity of our patrons and a well thought acquisition policy. We were able to make important additions of very rare war scenes or locally significant landscapes, sketchbooks, engravings and artifacts. Our collection is constantly growing and we want to showcase all of it for our 20th Annual Homer Watson Exhibition in a recreated 1930's environment.

Robert Wanka - Ancient Profile
Robert Wanka is quoting Cicero to describe his artistic statement:”Art is born of the observation and investigation of nature” and this speaks volume to him. The act of focussed observation gains him the insight in the outer structure of things which in turn makes it possible to draw and paint believable representations of them. Secondly, with the mastery of craft comes freedom, the freedom to explore ones inner world, the world of imagination. Robert will show his new body of work in our Cayley Gallery.
Peter B. Hastings
Artistic Statement

Peter B. Hastings - There's Gold in Them There Hills
Urban nature and exploring the visual synthesis between the natural and man-made environment in a urban context is the theme of Peter B Hastings’s current paintings. Debris such as plastic, old wood and wire play an integral role in his “constructed” paintings. By combining previously painted remnants with newly applied paint- which he then sands, glues, cuts, wipes, smudges or scrapes- his work tries to emulate these hybrid landscapes in their visual sensibility. Peter will show his work in our Ferrie Gallery.
