Light Miracles || KWSA

Homer Watson House & Gallery (HWHG) is please to host the Kitchener Waterloo Society of Artists’ (KWSA) Annual Juried show entitled Light Miracles. This year artists explore the influence of light on subject matter, literally, figuratively and spiritually.  The theme is examined through a variety of artistic backgrounds, diverse media and rich cultural ideas.

Confluence || Nancy Peng

The work of Nancy Peng, 2016 winner of the Curator’s Choice award, will be featured as this year’s KWSA  solo artist in her exhibit Confluence.  Nancy explores the cultural influence of her Japanese heritage on her work both in her materials and techniques, using washi and sumi ink as well as watercolour ground on wood panels. Peng explains “ Confluence, like the meeting of rivers, expresses the coming together of my passion for both printmaking and painting. The flow of paint and ink are brought together using both Japanese and western materials and techniques. The light and inspiration for my art comes from nature and the people that surround me.”
