Homer Watson House & Gallery offers a unique, historic venue for your special day. Our heritage site features stunning original artwork, gorgeous architectural character, and nearly three acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. Our Main Gallery provides the perfect ambiance for an intimate event, while the stunning gardens surrounding our historic landmark are designed to provide an ideal setting for any event. All of our rental spaces are versatile and can accommodate your desired arrangement.
Homer Watson House & Gallery provides both indoor and outdoor rental opportunities. Our indoor space gives a historic, classic edge to your wedding, while our outdoor space provides a breathtaking backdrop.
Homer Watson House & Gallery is an air-conditioned, wheelchair accessible facility and parking is offered free of charge. To assist in your plans for the special occasion, we offer a preferred list of vendors for flowers, catering, and photography. For a list of our preferred vendors, click here.
Whether you are planning an anniversary, reception, or family function, the Gallery offers the perfect setting for a spectacular event. Enjoy our unique facilities, displaying historic architecture and local art, as well as our lush grounds – perfect for any outdoor event. Small groups enjoy the intimate setting that our Main Gallery offers while larger groups appreciate our outdoor facilities. Our meeting spaces are attractive and accommodating. Choose your corporate space from a series of three galleries with flexible configurations. Convenient features include a projector, screen, and Plasma TV for presentations. Professional catering is available through Gusto Catering Company, our preferred vendor, should you wish to cater your event. However, please note that all vendors are welcome. Can I come visit the site?
We would love to show you around, email firstname.lastname@example.org to set up an appointment to see the site and have all your questions answered.
What is included with the rental?
Our site is a “blank canvas” you truly get to make your event a work of art by bringing in the tables, chairs, linen, and flowers that best suit you. We provide the unique intimate site, including three different Gallery spaces and a staff member during the day to answer questions and assist.
What is the seating capacity?
We are an intimate setting, our Main Gallery is the largest and seats 45-55 depending on the arrangement and chair style. Located above is a Room Size & Capacity chart for reference.
How do we go about booking?
To book our site we required a signed contract, and a 30% deposit (non-refundable) of the total rental fee.
How far ahead do I need to book?
The sooner the better, we can not hold dates without a deposit. You run the risk of losing your desired date.
Can we serve alcohol?
Yes, as long as you purchase the correct Special Occasion Permit Occasion permit from the LCBO. We also require proof that your designated bartender has their Smart Serve. Finally, you must secure Party Alcohol Liability insurance for $2 million.
Can I use a caterer not on your preferred list?
Sure Can! We suggest our preferred caterer because they are familiar with the unique nature of our site, and received great reviews in the past from our renter, but any caterer is welcome. We just recommend that before your event they stop by the site for a tour and discussion with our staff.
Where can we park?
There is a secondary lot located just off Roos Street which your guests are welcome to use.
Are you an accessible site?
Yes, there is a pathway that leads just around our building to the ramp at the back. We also are happy to arrange priority parking for those with mobility concerns.
