Animal Rescue Sewing Workshop

Join Wendy Chow and the thousands of people around the world using their talent for crafting and sewing to create pouches for the animals displaced by the raging fires in Australia. Bring your sewing machine and learn how to sew specialty joey pouches at this free workshop. All pouches sewn will be sent to the Animal Craft Guild of Australia.
Materials to be brought, donated, or lent for the workshop:
– 100% natural fibres; cotton flannelette, cotton, cotton knit, bamboo, wool, terry cloth.
– Polar fleece is also accepted as well as cotton-poly blend (used for outer layers.)
– Sewing machine (ensure your machine has the correct stitches for knitted/stretchy fabric if you plan on bringing those them)
– Extension cord
– Sewing needles, size 90/14 universal or denim
– Regular sewing thread
– Marking pens & pencils
– Fabric scissors
– Stitch ripper
