Acrylic Painting Basics with Scott McNichol
Online March 1, 8, 22 & 29 from 7-9pm
In this online course students will learn the essential tools, materials and techniques to complete an acrylic painting from start to finish. Students will explore colour theory and composition techniques, as they create unique paintings based on themes they are passionate about. Students are encouraged to bring a reference photo they would like to paint. Taught in-studio by HWHG Artist-Instructor Scott McNichol on Mondays.
Students are to supply their own materials. This course is suitable for teenagers and adults of all artistic skills and abilities.
- Pencils (HB, 2B 4B 6B)
- Eraser (white solid)
- Acrylic paints (Titanium white, Cerulean blue, Ultramarine Blue, Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Yellow medium or Hansa Yellow medium)
- 1/2 Flat Brush
- #5 Round Brush
- Palette of Waxed Paper
- Plastic Paint Palette or Styrofoam Plates
- Two 8″x10″ Canvas Boards
