Kitchener Waterloo Society of Artists – Reflection
Homer Watson House & Gallery is pleased to host the Kitchener Waterloo Society of Artists’ (KWSA) Annual Juried show entitled Reflection.
“Reflection could be interpreted as serious thought or consideration as often done by a view of a painting or a mirror image on a reflective surface, the reflection or bouncing back of light, sound or water waves. We all reflect an image of ourselves and sometimes see ourselves reflected in others. “
The exhibition is professionally juried this year by James Nye, Vice Chair with The Art District Gallery. Please join us in celebrating our local artists.
Featuring Anne Jackson:Quiet Darkness | Emerging Light
As part of the KWSA Juried Show, featured artist Anne Jackson’s lyrical abstract oil paintings will be shown in the Ferrie Gallery. Pure, luminous colour in finely blended layers reflect Anne’s interest in the relationships between inner and outer worlds, beauty and complexity, and light within darkness.
“My paintings are expressions of pure, luminous colour radiating from the depths of mystery and wonder. Relationships between inner and outer worlds, beauty and complexity, and light within darkness are central to my current work. Sensitive contemplation of the world around us infused with inner spirit, guides my painting journey to a place of balance and unity. Elegance, depth, and subtlety in finely blended layers of dark rich colour invite viewers to suspend time, look within, and dwell in a moment of stillness.”

KW Society of Artists is over 80 years old and we have approximately 135 members. KWSA has members who are hobbyists, as well as many part-time and full-time professional artists in our membership. As a social organization, our meetings are oriented towards conversation, presentations and announcements. Networking among fellow artists is the foundation of KWSA, and we always welcome new and prospective members. Our members volunteer to make the group a vibrant and exciting community where artists network, mingle and share learning experiences.
