The tradition of teaching began at Homer Watson House more than 125 years ago. We honour those educators, past, present, future, in this year’s exhibition, Paradigm Shifts, which highlights the work of mentors and their protege and includes one feature artist. This year Susan Gevais Spencer is the feature artist, with her exhibit, TRANSFORMATION. Open to those that have worked in the HWHG studios as an instructor or student.

The Open Gallery program is intended to foster a meaningful partnership between Homer Watson House & Gallery and the Waterloo Region high school community. Teachers work closely with the gallery to produce and execute an exhibit in accordance with curriculum mandates and gallery standards. Open to Teachers and their students in the Waterloo Region and area schools.
