Homer Watson House & Gallery’s Homeschool Program enables students to develop their skills in producing and presenting 2-D and 3-D works of art by introducing them to new mediums and concepts for artistic exploration. Students will learn and apply the elements and principles of design as they explore a different concept, medium or artist each class. Students will enjoy drawing, painting, sculpting and more with trained artist instructors.
Note: Section 4 is exclusively an outdoor program. Students are expected to dress for the weather.
A full refund will be issued for classes cancelled by Homer Watson House & Gallery. Instructors and course content may change without notice.
For outdoor programs, students should come prepared to be outside for the duration of the class. Students may bring their own bug spray, water and sunscreen. During colder months, students should dress warm. Restrooms are available.

The Loch Doon area was memorialized in celebrated Scottish poet, Robert Burns piece “Ye banks and braes O’ bonnie Doon”
Ye banks and braes o’ bonny Doon,
How can ye bloom sae fresh and fair?
How can ye chant, ye little birds,
And I sae weary fu’ o’ care?
Thou’lt break my heart, thou warbling bird,
That wantons thro’ the flowering thorn:
Thou minds me o’ departed joys,
Departed, never to return.
Aft hae I rov’d by bonnie Doon,
To see the rose and woodbine twine;
And ilka bird sang o’ its love,
And fondly sae did I o’ mine.
Wi’ lightsome heart I pu’d a rose,
Fu’ sweet upon its thorny tree;
And my fause lover stole my rose,
But, ah! he left the thorn wi’ me.
