Celebrate Culture Days at the Homer Watson House & Gallery!

Join us for two days of fun-filled activities. We’re offering two workshops this weekend that are free to drop-in and open to everyone. 

Plein Air with Ralf Wall (Raflar) & Clay with Cathy Masterson

Saturday September 23rd: 11:30am-3:30pm
Sunday September 24th: 12:00pm-3:30pm

Culture Days exists as a catalyst that connects individuals and creators, eliminates barriers, and stimulates understanding, appreciation, and exploration of arts, culture, and heritage so that every individual in the country has a deeper connection with themselves, their community, and Canada.

Simple watercolours will be provided, but feel free to bring your own art supplies (any medium) and learn some tips & techniques from artist Ralf (Raflar) Wall.

Clay and sculpting supplies will be provided. Come join our Director/Curator Cathy Masterson and “Play with Clay”. Beginners welcome.

The Loch Doon area was memorialized in celebrated Scottish poet, Robert Burns piece “Ye banks and braes O’ bonnie Doon”

Ye banks and braes o’ bonny Doon,
How can ye bloom sae fresh and fair?
How can ye chant, ye little birds,
And I sae weary fu’ o’ care?
