Mother's Day Garden Party

Vendors!

We will consider all creative vendor submissions. Artisan, art, pottery, textiles, candles, soaps, jewelry, décor, you name it! All makers and creators are welcome to participate as vendors. The Gallery does not take commission on any sales. 

Additionally, we invite artisans to host a simple workshop at their booth for visitors to participate in. In your application, please identify and explain the workshop you intend to host. We will contact you to develop the day’s program. Artists and creators who host pre-approved workshops at their booth will be compensated $50 on the day of the market. This is optional and not required for entry as a vendor. 

Artist/Vendor fee: $50/vendor | Space: 10x10ft

The annual Mother’s Day Garden Party celebrates mothers and all others who care, love, and nurture us. This market is about mothers and makers! Tickets include workshops with talented artists-instructors, a food and drink ticket and live music! Access to the market and gallery is free! Purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win awesome prizes from Grosche International and All Things Tea. 

Tickets Include:  

Complimentary coffee or tea and a mini baked good catered by Camellia Bake Shop.

Design and create your own bracelets with a beautiful selection of stones and beads for you to choose from!

Join ECE instructor Melissa, as we explore different ways to promote diversity and inclusion through play at her Play and Explore sensory table⁠.

Paper Quilling Portraits
with Emilie 
 

Create a family portrait using quilling paper techniques.

Paper Flowers:  

Create a lovely paper flower with an HWHG instructor.

Mini Mosaics

Mini mosaics made with colourful, pre cut tiles on small wooden shapes. First come first served – while supplies last.

Upcycled Planter Painting
with Nancy’s Creations and Seeds 
 

Painting an upcycled glass tealight holder to use as a mini planter or tealight. Dishwasher safe paint. Limited 6 people during each time slot.

Get Your Hands Muddy
with Heather and Barb

Pinch your own pot, coil a mug or pot a Lily for Mom. 6 potters/session.  Greenware can go home.  Firing and Glazing optional.Workshops begin on each hour starting at 12:00 for 45 min.

Raffle tickets will be placed in a random draw to win any of the three prizes listed above. Winners will be emailed on Monday May 13th, 2024. Prizes will be available to pick up at Homer Watson House & Gallery, 1754 Old Mill Rd. Kitchener, ON.

5th Sister Studio

I create one of a kind, quality jewelry, using traditional metalsmith techniques. Each item begins as sheet metal and/or wire, which is carefully heated with a torch, formed, forged, folded and soldered into a unique piece of wearable art.

Clayvish

Clayvish brings handmade Polymer Clay earrings that are lightweight and comfortable. Our earrings are fusion of funky and classy.

Here are a few important things to note before attending this event: 

  • Parking: Limited free parking available in the small lot in front of the gallery lawn.
  • Partial accessible grounds: Event grounds are located behind the gallery. Access to outdoor grounds is by way of a paved pathway and flight of 3-6 stairs. The grounds include potentially uneven and/or steep surfaces.
  • Washrooms: Public washrooms. Washrooms are located in the basement portion of the building, accessible through the ground floor entrance at the front of the building. One washroom includes grab bars and is welcome to all to use. Signage will be available.
  • Hydration: Water fountain and bottle station located in the basement portion of the building, accessible through the ground floor entrance at the front of the building.
  • Service Animals: We welcome service animals.
  • Seating: Outdoor seating will be available. Picnic benches will be placed around the grounds. Folding tables and chairs available at art workshop stations and food truck area.
